When a tsunami hits it's bad. It's even worse when your on holiday trying to celebrate Christmas. But what makes it disastrous and heart breaking was that it was the biggest tsunami that EVER hit Thailand - and it is based on a family's true story. Everything was whisked away to God know's where, and all life seemed to cease to exist. One family all seemed to survive, but are seperated and frightened. Can they all make it back together, or will one be left behind?
The prosthetic makeup is impeccably used in this film, a production to be extremly proud of, nothing quite like this film, infact.
I cried (and not just because of the incredibly accurate make up), because of the story line: it is truly uplifting and grasps my attention leaving me at the edge of my seat, yelling at the screen in hope that they make it!
Powerful. Magestic. Awe-inspiring. This film would of gotten 5 stars, but what slightly irritated me was that the original family was Spanish and the family within the film was American.
However, do look at this film (better to watch with someone, but I wouldn't recommend it to younger viewers - I'm thirteen and I was scared!) it is something that you cannot forget. It's dramatic. It's hard-hitting. It's beautiful...
