Synopsis

The original production of a classic tale based on the popular childrens books by Hugh Lofting. We meet Doctor Dolittle; a world-renowned 19th century English doctor who has miraculously learned 498 animal languages. In search of the Great Pink Snail, the eccentric Dolittle comes across numerous exotic creatures, such as the Giant Moon Moth. A lavish musical with a famous soundtrack, this film provides an entertaining blend of song and fantasy.

What our educators say

"Some of them saw a clip from Wakolda (The German Doctor) on TV recently and really wanted to watch it. So I thought I’d take a chance, not expecting them to watch the whole film but the majority were absolutely gripped. "
