Once upon a time in Hollywood history, films about America's old wild west would always show the heroic cowboys defeating evil Red Indians. By the time Dances With Wolves came along however, things had thankfully changed. This epic, beautifully shot film is about a US Cavalry officer who goes to live with a Native American tribe - and finds there a wisdom and compassion he has never experienced before. Using authentic Native American languages, Dances With Wolves is an example of modern Hollywood film-making at its very best.
At the height of the depression, orphan Little Tree moves in with his Grandparents, learning valuable lessons about his Cherokee heritage.
