Based on Walter Farley's classic children's book, this exciting adventure follows young Alec, who is travelling onboard a ship with his father. Disaster strikes and the ship sinks, but Alec survives, along with a mysterious black horse. The pair are stranded on a desert island where they develop a strong bond. After they are rescued, trainer Henry helps to prepare the stallion to become a champion racehorse. Hugely acclaimed by audiences on its release, the film is a stirring and heartfelt account of the unique emotional ties that can be struck between humans and animals.
Inspiring film about a seemingly weak horse with a half-blind jockey who became legends, giving people hope in the '30s Great Depression.
