Hue and Cry is one of the first of the famous comedies from Britain's iconic Ealing Studios. It was also the first to make use of post-war London exterior locations, showing a very distinctive view of the city that has now radically changed. The story follows a boy who becomes convinced that a big robbery is being planned out through the pages of a weekly comic. Having been dismissed by the police, he and his plucky chums set about trying to catch the culprits themselves...
One of the best paranoid political conspiracy thrillers that were very popular in the early to mid-1970s.
