Malcolm Reynolds and the crew of his spaceship, Serenity, are a bunch of chancers will do pretty much anything to make a quick buck. They're protecting a telepathic girl who knows some very important secrets and is on the run from the Alliance - but it's making life increasingly difficult for them. So, very reluctantly, Reynolds and company decide to take on the Alliance. But it isn't going to be easy. This is a fun, space-set tale of good versus evil.

What our educators say

"It really is a chance for us to open children's minds to the power of film not just as a vehicle for entertainment but also as a way in to understanding their own world and the worlds of people whose lives are very different."

- Marlon Perkins, Teacher, Whitstable and Seasalter Endowed CofE Junior School, Kent
