Synopsis

Jake and Elwood Blues are a pair of petty criminals - but they've got good hearts. When they learn the orphanage they grew up in is in trouble, they decide to raise the money to save it. They plan to get their old band back together, and set about tracking down the members. So begins a bizarre and eventful journey, which culminates in one of the most extreme car chases of all time. And the brothers think they just can't fail because they're "on a mission from God". With a fantastic soundtrack and star appearances from the likes of Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles and James Brown, this is one funky road movie.

What our educators say

"It really is a chance for us to open children's minds to the power of film not just as a vehicle for entertainment but also as a way in to understanding their own world and the worlds of people whose lives are very different."

- Marlon Perkins, Teacher, Whitstable and Seasalter Endowed CofE Junior School, Kent
