Synopsis

Evergreen World War Two escape drama set in a German prisoner-of-war camp, featuring a large cast of famous actors playing Allied troops. Each of them is desperate to get out - but will their relentless tunnelling help them get back to Britain? A curious mixture of bleak historical fact, optimism and good humour, all complete with perhaps the catchiest theme tune ever written!

What our educators say

"It really is a chance for us to open children's minds to the power of film not just as a vehicle for entertainment but also as a way in to understanding their own world and the worlds of people whose lives are very different."
