Synopsis

At first, Super Size Me sounds more like a prank than the idea for a movie. Film-maker Morgan Spurlock wondered what would happen if he lived on nothing but food from McDonalds for 30 days - and so he did just that. Eating burgers, fries, shakes three times a day, every day, in the effort to discover what that kind of diet would do to him, he finds the answer far more shocking than he or anyone else expected. Although the film of his experiment is often very funny, it also makes disturbing viewing - especially for anyone who loves fast food!

What our educators say

"Some of them saw a clip from Wakolda (The German Doctor) on TV recently and really wanted to watch it. So I thought I’d take a chance, not expecting them to watch the whole film but the majority were absolutely gripped. "
