Synopsis

Far beneath the sea, the ocean-floor town of Bikini Bottom is about to be shaken to its very foundations. Arriving at his job at the Krusty Krab fast food restaurant expecting to be promoted, SpongeBob is heartbroken when the job of manager is given to his rival, Squidward. But things get even messier when Mr Krabs, the owner of Kursty Krab, is framed for the theft of King Neptune's Crown. This big-screen version of the hugely popular TV show is a hilarious blend of genres and full of wild imagination.

What our educators say

"It really is a chance for us to open children's minds to the power of film not just as a vehicle for entertainment but also as a way in to understanding their own world and the worlds of people whose lives are very different."

- Marlon Perkins, Teacher, Whitstable and Seasalter Endowed CofE Junior School, Kent
