Synopsis

To some, sport is just a way of keeping fit and passing time - but to Ken Carter, it's a way to build a better a life. The successful owner of a local sporting goods shop, Carter offers to take over as the coach of the struggling basketball team at his old high school. But when the team start to do well, they find success on the court is only half the story. A hugely enjoyable film about growing up, dedication and staying true to yourself.

What our educators say

"It really is a chance for us to open children's minds to the power of film not just as a vehicle for entertainment but also as a way in to understanding their own world and the worlds of people whose lives are very different."
