Rapper Eminem stars as Jimmy 'Rabbit' Smith in a part largely based on his own experiences. 8 Mile Road is the stretch separating two parts of Detroit - the northern white suburbs and the mostly African-American south of the town. Rabbit, a factory worker, lives in a trailer park on the dividing strip. The film follows a week in his life as he struggles with relationships, with work and with his passion - competing at local rap battles. An unflinching look at life in the city, with a predictably brilliant soundtrack.
This film has several uses of strong bad language and contains soft drug use
