Will is a small goat with big dreams of being a professional athlete. His favourite sport, roarball, is a high-intensity game that involves shooting hoops in spectacularly dangerous stadiums. The star players tend to be the fastest, largest and fiercest animals in the world. Despite his size, Will believes he has the skills to compete too, encouraged by his mum’s predictions that one day he would not only play roarball, but change it forever. To his delight, Will gets signed to join the Thorns, but his new teammates aren’t thrilled about playing with such a little animal. Nevertheless, Will is determined to revolutionise the sport and prove once and for all that “smalls can ball!” With painterly graffiti-inspired animation and an energetic soundtrack, this underdog sports film explores themes of self-belief, community support, and remaining grounded in your roots.
