Mario and Luigi’s life in the Mushroom Kingdom is turned upside down when Princess Peach’s birthday celebration sparks an unexpected journey into space. They had previously imprisoned their enemy Bowser, king of the turtle-like Koopas, but his ambitious son, Bowser Jr., launches a plan to free him and restore the family name, putting the whole galaxy at risk. Mario and Luigi join Peach, Toad and their new friend Yoshi on a high-speed mission across glittering star systems to rescue the captured Rosalina, the mysterious guardian of the cosmos. Along the way, they face old enemies, surprising creatures and cosmic challenges that test their courage, teamwork and loyalty.
