This poignant and darkly comic drama takes us to the shores of a remote Irish island in 1923. Colm Doherty, a fiddler, abruptly decides to cut ties with his cheerful but “dull” friend Pádraic Súilleabháin, choosing instead to focus on composing music and leaving a legacy. Pádraic, confused and hurt, refuses to accept the rejection, leading to escalating tensions, drastic actions and unexpected consequences. As the feud intensifies, the island’s small community, including Pádraic’s sister Siobhán and troubled young Dominic, becomes entangled in the emotional fallout. Exploring themes of loneliness, pride, and the human need for connection, these critically acclaimed performances play out against the backdrop of the Irish Civil War, subtly echoing the conflict’s senseless divisions.
A destitute Korean household devise a complex plan that finds them infiltrating a more wealthy and influential family.
