Synopsis

This paper-cut, stop-frame animation takes a look at the inner life of person with disabilities and their outlook on the world around them. What begins as a grey, listless day for the film’s protagonist soon morphs into one of vibrancy, warmth, and colour after they visit an art exhibition. Surrounded by the paintings, they let their imagination come alive, which in turns grants them a new optimism to carry with them through the rest of the day. This short film, conceived and created by a disabled filmmaker, is a testament to the power of creativity and the imagination as well as being a valuable insight into the mind of another.

What our educators say

"It really is a chance for us to open children's minds to the power of film not just as a vehicle for entertainment but also as a way in to understanding their own world and the worlds of people whose lives are very different."

- Marlon Perkins, Teacher, Whitstable and Seasalter Endowed CofE Junior School, Kent
