Synopsis

As a family sit down to eat together, teenager Diane expresses her frustration with the bucket on the dining table which is in place to catch the dropping water from the leaking ceiling. The rest of her family are unconcerned, however, either ignoring or dismissing her concerns. As the dripping pipe gets significantly worse, Diane takes matters into her own hands and attempts to fix the leak which threatens to flood the whole house. ‘Thermostat 6’ is a humorous French language animation which examines attitudes around climate change as well as providing an allegorical introduction to the topic for younger learners.

What our educators say

"We are currently screening The Wizard of Oz, profound film that it is, and the last film Wall-E. It's been rewarding observing the KS1 6 year olds run the gamut of emotions from wonder to sadness to joy. "
