Tom Cat lives in New York and dreams of becoming a pianist, while Jerry Mouse is looking for a new home. During one of Tom’s performances in the park, Jerry picks a fight with him which leads to Tom’s keyboard getting broken. As Tom chases Jerry, he bumps into a young woman named Kayla who is looking to secure a job at the city’s poshest hotel. To do so, she must help to organise a high-profile wedding – and everything needs to go smoothly. However, there’s a problem: Jerry has decided that the hotel is his ideal new home, and he begins to steal food and other items after moving in. Once the hotel staff discover his presence, Kayla offers to catch Jerry without anyone else finding out, and decides to hire Tom as the perfect feline for the job. ‘Tom & Jerry’ is a slapstick family comedy, blending live-action and animation, which gives the classic cartoon characters – first created in the 1940s – a modern big-screen makeover.
A look at the top-secret, high-tech war going on between cats and dogs, which their human owners are blissfully unaware of.
