Synopsis

Uku is a male volcano who spends his time alone in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, singing a sweet love song hoping that out there somewhere is another ready to answer his call. As the years pass, Uku starts to lose his form and extinction beckons – but just as all hope seems lost, a female volcano from under the sea responds to his lyrics.

What our educators say

"It really is a chance for us to open children's minds to the power of film not just as a vehicle for entertainment but also as a way in to understanding their own world and the worlds of people whose lives are very different."

- Marlon Perkins, Teacher, Whitstable and Seasalter Endowed CofE Junior School, Kent
