Synopsis

After the events of the first Trolls film, the crazy and colourful land of the Pop Kingdom is now a peaceful and happy place. That is until Poppy, Queen of the Pop Trolls, receives a mysterious invitation from the Rock Troll Queen Barb, asking Poppy to join her in reuniting all the Troll tribes – Pop, Funk, Classical, Techno, Country and Rock – by bringing together the magical strings that are protected by each tribe’s leader. Along with her best friend Branch, who is secretly in love with her, Poppy sets out on a candy-coloured journey across the kingdom to discover whether Barb is truly looking for peace or whether she wants to unite the strings in order to obliterate all other forms of music except Rock. This fast-paced, humorous, and eye-popping animated musical examines the importance of diversity in all forms of society and art whilst also staying true to the first film’s themes of friendship, family and kindness.

What our educators say

"We are currently screening The Wizard of Oz, profound film that it is, and the last film Wall-E. It's been rewarding observing the KS1 6 year olds run the gamut of emotions from wonder to sadness to joy. "
