Based on the best-selling memoirs from father and son David and Nic Sheff, ‘Beautiful Boy’ explores their relationship and its many ups and downs of the years as Nic struggles with drug addiction. Despite sharing a close bond with his father in Nic’s younger years, he begins to confide in David less and less in his later teenage life, with his father growing increasingly concerned for his son’s welfare. Through recovery, relapse and unwavering support from his family, Nic battles against the addiction which threatens to consume him, in this emotionally raw, sensitive drama.
