Hidden deep inside a smartphone is the bustling city of Textopolis, packed with emojis of every shape, size and emotion, jostling for selection by their user. Yet one emoji stands out. Unlike the others, Gene has multiple facial expressions, but rather than embracing his difference, he decides to embark on a quest to become “normal”. Enlisting the help of his friend Hi-5, and a codebreaker named Jailbreak, the group embark on an adventure through a series of apps, each with their own unique visual world, to find the code that will fix Gene. However, along the way they discover a danger that could threaten the entire phone’s existence...
Mild rude humour, comic threat, very mild bad language.
