Having established their impressive defensive skills, the Guardians find themselves employed protecting valuable assets for the haughty Sovereigns. Managing to cause offence to the proud people, they are forced to escape with a hi-tech space fleet hot on their trail, until a mysterious intervention eliminates their opponents. Their defender invites the gang to take sanctuary on his planet, and approaches Peter with a tempting proposition. Meanwhile, the Guardians left behind at the crash-landing site find themselves under attack from Ravagers, who are also keen to track down Peter, seeking justice. With all the rousing music, tongue-in-cheek banter and explosive action sequences from the first film, this sequel explores each Guardian in more depth, and puts to the test the qualities that make them such a force to be reckoned with.
Moderate fantasy action violence, sex references, bad language.
