Presiding over dramatic product launches dressed in trademark blue jeans and black polo neck, the co-founder and CEO of Apple, Steve Jobs became an iconic figure in technology. This film, scripted by The Social Network writer Aaron Sorkin, offers a more intimate portrait of the businessman. Spanning sixteen years of Jobs’ career, the film is structured around the backstage drama at three major launches and is punctuated by flashbacks to the key events that lead Jobs and his colleagues there. The focus on Jobs’ often strained personal and professional relationships may challenge the views of some his adoring fans, however sharp scripting and skilled performances provide a compelling portrait of one of the most complex and influential figures of recent times.
Warm and emotional drama about a working class man hiding a remarkable talent for maths.
