Synopsis

Opening with a frantic car chase in 1960s East Berlin, we are introduced to CIA agent Napoleon Solo and KGB operative Ilya Kuryakin, who are competing to take charge of an important asset. Gaby Teller is the daughter of a German rocket scientist, and the key to neutralising a nuclear threat being developed by her father. The two agents reluctantly embark on a joint mission with Gaby, and an enjoyable romp ensues. With all the requisite twists, turns, action sequences and impressive gadgets this film has fun with the spy genre while also sending up ‘60s gender stereotypes.

What our educators say

"It really is a chance for us to open children's minds to the power of film not just as a vehicle for entertainment but also as a way in to understanding their own world and the worlds of people whose lives are very different."

- Marlon Perkins, Teacher, Whitstable and Seasalter Endowed CofE Junior School, Kent
