Synopsis

When a villager discovers a little girl growing inside a bamboo shoot he believes her to be a divine gift and takes her home to look after. Named ‘Princess’, she grows rapidly and soon turns into a beautiful woman, when her guardians move her to the city to become a proper Princess. Despite being courted by five men that she challenges to bring her mythical treasures, she doesn’t enjoy the restrictions that come with being a Royal Princess. As more magical events occur she begins to learn why she has been put on Earth.

What our educators say

"We are currently screening The Wizard of Oz, profound film that it is, and the last film Wall-E. It's been rewarding observing the KS1 6 year olds run the gamut of emotions from wonder to sadness to joy. "
