Synopsis

A South London comedy set over the course of one day, following two estranged teenage brothers - one from London, the other Nigeria. Initially Yemi is excited to meet his brother Ikudayisi but when he arrives off the plane wearing socks and sandals, he is not as cool as Yemi imagined. Amongst a series of misunderstandings they end up lost on the streets of Peckham and inadvertently mixed up in a gang fight. Poking fun at the tensions created by different cultures living together in one community this is a comical reminder of the importance of heritage and identity.

What our educators say

"Some of them saw a clip from Wakolda (The German Doctor) on TV recently and really wanted to watch it. So I thought I’d take a chance, not expecting them to watch the whole film but the majority were absolutely gripped. "
