Synopsis

What do you notice about the voices you hear advertising new films at the cinema? This clever comedy asks why it is that the booming voiceovers that describe the latest epics are almost always male. The hapless Carol is a struggling Hollywood voice coach who is still living at home and is failing to break into the closed world of movie trailer voiceovers where the same few guys get all the good jobs and her father rules supreme. Just when her luck appears to have run out a unique opportunity arrives, but getting the job involves a battle. A witty script makes this a fun watch, with an important point to make about women’s position in the film industry.
