Synopsis

Close friends and dedicated young graffiti artists Malcolm and Sofia live in the Bronx area of New York, specialising in 'tagging' — marking public places with their signature designs to promote their message. Seeking recognition, respect and adventure, they decide to attempt the ultimate mission: tagging the apple which appears at the New York Mets stadium whenever a home run is hit by a Mets player. To bribe their way in, they need to raise major league cash. When Malcolm sells drugs to a rich Manhattan girl, he begins a friendship that forces him and Sofia to reevaluate things in this gritty but warm-hearted comedy-drama.

What our educators say

"Some of them saw a clip from Wakolda (The German Doctor) on TV recently and really wanted to watch it. So I thought I’d take a chance, not expecting them to watch the whole film but the majority were absolutely gripped. "
