Synopsis

Prehistoric life is tough for Eep Crood. She is desperate to get out and explore her surroundings, but her ultra-strict father is only concerned with survival and keeps his family in the safety of the cave. 'Never not be afraid!' he tells Eep. However, when their home disappears, the Croods have no choice but to embrace their environment. They find some things to be afraid of but also discover a breathtaking world of natural beauty, plus a cave boy, Guy, who predicts the world will end. Can they find a new place to call home?

What our educators say

"It really is a chance for us to open children's minds to the power of film not just as a vehicle for entertainment but also as a way in to understanding their own world and the worlds of people whose lives are very different."

- Marlon Perkins, Teacher, Whitstable and Seasalter Endowed CofE Junior School, Kent
