Synopsis

Edgar Wright has offered comedic views of the Zombie film and the Cop movie. Sightseers - of which he is an executive producer, parodies the many controversial films about couples going on killing sprees - such as Bonnie and Clyde and Natural Born Killers. Chris and Tina's Yorkshire caravan holiday is supposed to be a tranquil, romantic affair and their story should blossom into a romantic comedy. However, when things go awry they discover they are capable of grotesque and murderous acts. With its casual violence and wicked humour, Sightseers is the definition of dark comedy and has been a critical success for English director Ben Wheatley.

What our educators say

"Some of them saw a clip from Wakolda (The German Doctor) on TV recently and really wanted to watch it. So I thought I’d take a chance, not expecting them to watch the whole film but the majority were absolutely gripped. "
