Synopsis

Having an over-protective parent is one thing, but can you imagine if your dad also happened to be Dracula, the notorious vampire? Welcome to Mavis's world - namely the Hotel Transylvania, which her father created as a sanctuary for ordinary, decent monsters and ghouls to keep them safe from that most ghastly of creatures: the human being. At the tender age of 118, Mavis longs to escape her small world at the hotel and see the outside world, much to Dracula's distress. When a warm-hearted but foolish human named Jonathan turns up and falls in love with Mavis, the hotel may never be the same again. As well as being a gentle introduction to all things spooky, Hotel Transylvania is also a story of growing up and being accepted for who you are.

What our educators say

"We are currently screening The Wizard of Oz, profound film that it is, and the last film Wall-E. It's been rewarding observing the KS1 6 year olds run the gamut of emotions from wonder to sadness to joy. "
