Synopsis

It's hard to imagine sci-fi without the contribution of British director Ridley Scott, whose Alien and Blade Runner reinvigorated and refined the genre. He returns with a prequel to Alien, one of the most terrifying and influential films ever made. The crew of spaceship Prometheus is on a research mission bound towards a distant moon, their destination set by clues in a prehistoric cave painting. Eager to get to the heart of the mystery, they are unprepared for the challenges that their discovery throws up- to their theories, beliefs, and ultimately to their own lives.

What our educators say

"It really is a chance for us to open children's minds to the power of film not just as a vehicle for entertainment but also as a way in to understanding their own world and the worlds of people whose lives are very different."
