There are extra-terrestrial beings living in the north of Mexico, which is something of a problem for Samantha, who wants to get back to the US. Can she get past the aliens and also the huge wall built to keep them out of America? Photographer Andrew is assigned to travel with her, and the two of them set off on their dangerous journey. What makes Monsters different is it's documentary-style - most of the characters in the film are non-actors playing themselves and the sci-fi elements were all added by computer in post-production. The result combines sci-fi action with screwball romance for a truly unusual alien-landing movie that often seems incredibly real.
Contains infrequent strong language and moderate horror
