Andrea Arnold had already won an Oscar for her short film Wasp, but it was this, her second feature that really established Arnold as one of the best directors in Britain today. Katie Jarvis stars as an Essex teenager whose life is turned upside down by the arrival of her mother's new boyfriend. Both atmospheric and effortlessly authentic, Fish Tank is a note perfect story of an adolescent's struggle in a complex adult world.
Contains very strong language, sex and sex references.
