The brilliant satirical TV series The Thick of It was renowned for its volcanic, near acrobatic use of swear words and its terrifyingly authentic portrayal of modern politics in all its weaselly, self-interested glory. Oh, and it was hilarious. This big-screen spin-off juggles characters slightly (all the better for newcomers) but the swearing and hilarity are intact - and it never lets you forget these are real lives they're dealing with when a wishy-washy junior minister gets out of his depth in Washington in the run-up to war.
This film has several uses of very strong language and strong sex references.
