Synopsis

Three hours into a transatlantic flight home to bury her dead husband, American aeronautical engineer Kyle suddenly loses the young daughter who was sitting next to her. But the crew and her fellow passengers, who deny her daughter was on the flight, struggle to believe the girl could have just disappeared and begin to think that Kyle is disturbed and delusional. Playing on post 9/11 fears of air travel, this is a tense, claustrophobic, mostly plausible thriller that features a committed central performance by Jodie Foster as Kyle, who uses her knowledge of airplane design to search for her missing daughter.

What our educators say

"Some of them saw a clip from Wakolda (The German Doctor) on TV recently and really wanted to watch it. So I thought I’d take a chance, not expecting them to watch the whole film but the majority were absolutely gripped. "
