At the time, no news story caught the public imagination around the world as much what was known as the 'dingo baby case'. Essentially, it went like this: an Australian mother, Lindy Chamberlain, claimed her baby had been dragged off and killed by wild dogs while the family were on a camping trip. The authorities, however, thought that Lindy had killed the girl. This compelling drama recreates the case, focusing on Lindy's refusal to show her emotions in court, against her lawyer's desperate advice.
Powerful film set in 1930s Australia, where children born to mixed-race parents were often taken from their Aboriginal mothers by the state.
