Synopsis

Adapted from the board game ‘Cluedo’ and set in 1954, this inventive murder-mystery sees six individuals invited to a dinner party at a secluded mansion. The six guests are each greeted by the butler, Wadsworth, and all are given a pseudonym to maintain anonymity throughout the evening: Colonel Mustard, Mrs White, Mrs Peacock, Mr Green, Professor Plum, and Miss Scarlet. During the meal, they discover that they all hold some sort of government influence before they are joined by their suspected host, Mr. Boddy, who has been blackmailing each of them for some time. Wadsworth threatens to call the police, but Mr. Boddy presents each of the guests with a weapon and suggests that they kill the butler to protect their secrets. But when Mr Boddy is found dead, there are questions to be answered: whodunit, how, and why? ‘Clue’ brings the board game to life in this lively and creative adaptation which mirrors the dynamics of the game by featuring three possible endings.

What our educators say

"Some of them saw a clip from Wakolda (The German Doctor) on TV recently and really wanted to watch it. So I thought I’d take a chance, not expecting them to watch the whole film but the majority were absolutely gripped. "
