In the late summer of 1940, the Germans tried to destroy the Royal Air Force in preparation for their invasion of Britain. Of course, we know now that they failed, but at the time the outcome was very much in the balance. This stirring and exciting war drama pays tribute not just to the fighter pilots - often young men straight out of training school - but also to the backroom staff who had the vital job of making sure they were in the right place at the right time.
This film has a couple of uses of mild bad language and contains war action and mild horror.
