This revealing documentary about the Vietnam War was made and released at a time when it was clear that the war would end in humiliating defeat for the US. Some writers have criticised the techniques used by director Peter Davis, and his apparently anti-American stance, and while this doesn't show the whole picture, it is a powerful film which makes it clear how some leading American officers didn't just underestimate but completely failed to understand their enemy.
This film has several uses of strong bad language, strong violence and a moderate sex scene.
