WHAT: Into Film is proud to present a free educational screening of The Peanut Butter Falcon as part of the Spring Screenings: Changing Times programme. At a time of remarkable change around attitudes towards the environment, technology, politics, and identity, particularly for young people, this film will open up discussion around some of these themes, utilising the remarkable power of cinema to deepen learning as well as provoke conversation and debate. The screening will be preceded by a short compilation of archive film on the theme, special schools' edit provided by Yorkshire Film Archive.
This screening will be accompanied with a Question and Answer session with members of the Oska Bright Festival team. The Oska Bright Festival (run by award-winning charity Carousel) is the world's largest learning disability film festival. Members of the Young Oska Bright team will lead a conversation about the themes of the film, and discuss with the audience how to get involved in their work after the screening.
This is an autism friendly screening and some tickets may be set aside for young people with Special Educational Needs. As there is unreserved seating and the screen will not be booked to full capacity, guests can sit where they like and are also permitted to change seats at any time during the film to wherever they feel most comfortable. The sound level will be reduced and monitored throughout so that it is kept at an appropriate level. The house lights will be on but dimmed. There will be a short film before the feature which has passed the Harding Test. If subtitles for the film are available they will be played.
This event will feature HOH subtitles. We look forward to welcoming all students and their educators identifying as hearing, hard of hearing or D/deaf.

WHERE: Fabrica, 40 Duke St, Brighton BN1 1AG. Please note there is no parking, drop off only. Ramp entrance available. This is a pop-up film gallery venue in a former church.
Certificate: 12A - BBFC. Into Film recommends this film is engaging for ages 11+.
*Educators must ensure they book tickets for themselves as well as students. On the order form, please indicate how many young people and how many adults will attend out of the total amount of tickets you have booked*
