This series of curated highlights, which complements our Teaching Film: Visual Planning course, offers another opportunity to discover activities and tips from our live session designed for educators delivering film qualifications.

Join Grace Eardley (SEMH teacher specialising in Film and Media) as she shares her own tried and tested strategies, with inclusive adaptations, to enhance students’ visual planning skills.

You’ll explore creative approaches that will help learners plan colour, contrast and lighting to shape tone and genre. With expert guidance and access to exclusive activities not found elsewhere on the course, you’ll come away with a range of ideas that you can put into practice straight away.

By the end of the sequence, you’ll be able to:

  • Explain how colour and lighting work together to convey emotion and narrative
  • Support learners in visualising lighting, tone and genre through accessible tools
  • Implement inclusive, practical strategies to help students plan lighting and colour before shooting their films.

This series of curated highlights is available on-demand to give you the flexibility to learn whenever you want, wherever you are in the UK.
