Manou is a swift bird raised by seagulls who grows up believing that he is just like the rest of his family. Not overly gifted at swimming, fishing and flying like his brothers and sisters, he is nevertheless admired and loved by them. When Manou discovers he is an entirely different species of bird altogether, a series of mishaps result in him being expelled from home and, along with his new buddies Yusuf and Poncho, he discovers the swift way of life. However, when a combination of rats and a great storm threaten both the seagulls and the swifts, Manou must use the skills and wits he has learned growing up to help both of his families survive. This animated animal tale from Germany looks at the courage needed to forge your own identity and become a hero.
