Charles Dickens's classic A Christmas Carol is reimagined through a modern lens in this vibrant musical infused with themes of identity and inclusion, set in contemporary London. The story follows Mr. Sood, a wealthy, British Asian businessman who scorns generosity and exploits his staff on zero-hour contracts. On Christmas Eve, he is visited by three spirits who guide him first through his past as a refugee, then to open his eyes to his present and the damage being caused by his disdain for those around him, and finally to look upon a bleak future shaped by his selfishness. Through these encounters, Sood confronts prejudice, lost love, and the consequences of his choices, ultimately rediscovering empathy and the joy of giving, with a little bit of encouragement along the way from a jolly London cab driver. With a rich, multicultural soundtrack blending gospel, bhangra, rap, and pop, the film celebrates Britain's diverse communities and the spirit of the season.
No on-site parking during the day; drop-off available for coaches. Additional space can be booked for lunch with notice. Café busy with limited covers; concessions available but choice may vary. Venue is cashless.
