In the sprawling, retro-futuristic city of Metropia, humans and aliens begrudgingly live side by side, surrounded by skyscrapers and flying cars. Raymond Gunn is the city's last private eye, a detective always trying to do the right thing despite the corruption of the city that he inhabits. Along with his grumpy but well-meaning one-eyed alien partner Eyera, Ray is struggling to make ends meet until a new case drops into his lap a protection case for the short-tempered mega pop star Venus Nova, whose new album needs to be released without controversy. However, all is not what it seems and Ray must navigate the glistening boardrooms and shady backstreets of Metropia if he is to keep both himself, and those he loves, safe from harm. With its blend of 1930s noir and tech-heavy science-fiction, Ray Gunn is a hugely original and energetic animation that gently leans on themes of integrity, diversity and finding your place in a rapidly changing world.
