jojo rabbit is such a great film! i really love how it took place from the persepctive of a young boy and as an audience we could see how his views changed on nazi germany and jewish people throughout the film. the script was extremely tight, allowing for comedic moments to be wevaed in continously during the film, as well as more poignant points towards the end of the movie. the acting was sublime, particularly from thomasin mckenzie, as well as scarlett johansson and her portrayal as a complicated mother - trying to protect her son from what's going on in the world yet doing the right thing in hiding elsa. overall, i thought it was a fantastically funny movie, making the heavy topic of nazi germany a light and entertaining piece.
