I haven't watched the first movie but I don't think you really need to watch the first one. I'm pretty sure there were a few references to the first but I don't think it's necessary to watch. It was a good watch and was kind of predictable at some points but most movies are anyway. I think this would be a great movie to watch if you are out with friends or are watchimg a movie with family. I didn't find myself getting bored throughout this movie like I do with most movies. I would 100% recommend you to watch this movie unless you've already watched this because it seems like one of those movies that is good the first time you watch but gets a bit boring if you watch it again. It isn't the best movie i've seen but it was still a quite good movie. I think the story was interesting but as I said before can be a bit predictable. They used a mixture of different styles in this movie which I think was an interesting idea. It was a well thought out movie. I definately recommend this movie to you. :)
